Philosophy in Business
Dr. Adriaan Kukler MFE
a philosophy of travelling perspective
Welcome to the platform
where Philosophy meets Finance
This platform is hosted by Adriaan Kukler, a PhD in the philosophy of financial economy.
He works (as an independent participative researcher) in the Dutch banking industry for more than 25 years.
Philosophy and Finance have never been close, money stinks and is not worth our considerations versus contemplation is a waste of time and money. But if philosophers want to reflect on what is important, and if bankers want to do the right things right, they'd better help each other, cause there is much to gain on both sides.
In line with the new laws of information society, sharing information and knowledge is multiplying it, increases its value. Only in interactions, awareness is created. I can do many things, but offer the perspective of the other (cf. Levinas). That is what I seek and ask of you when offering my knowledge: interact and provide feedback to make progress together!
Knowledge gains value in its application to real life situations. That needs work. I'm interested in supporting you there! Reach out to explore.

Behavioural Ethics
Behavioural Ethics is based on the notion of bounded ethicality, which in turn refers to being limited in ethical awareness,
Bounded rationality has led to behavioural finance, a rapidly growing and successful field of research, acknowledging the limitations in our attention. Similarly, we could speak of behavioral ethics to refer to a rationality that takes into account the limitations in information and capacity for processing it by studying actual behavior as the product of such limitations.
